What is AI Burnard?
Burnard is a brutally honest AI companion. Instead of nodding along, it questions what you tell it, points out the holes in your reasoning, and offers the perspective your friends and colleagues are too polite to give.
How does AI Burnard work?
Type what's on your mind—a decision you're stuck on, an excuse you've been telling yourself, a plan you want gut-checked. Burnard reads it critically, calls out the real problem, and pushes you toward a view outside your current frame.
Is AI Burnard a replacement for therapy?
No. Burnard is designed for everyday emotional support and self-reflection, not clinical treatment. If you're experiencing a mental health crisis or need professional help, please reach out to a licensed therapist or counselor.
Privacy & Security
Is my conversation private?
Your messages travel over HTTPS and are stored only in your own browser, never on our servers. To generate a reply they are sent to the AI model provider we use, and nothing else. We don't share your personal data with third parties for marketing. See our Privacy Policy for the details.
Do you store my conversations?
Not on our servers. Your conversations are saved in your own browser, so you can keep several going and pick any of them back up from the sidebar in Chat. Two caveats: only a limited number of recent conversations are kept, so when space runs low the oldest ones are quietly dropped—and clearing your browser data wipes them all. Every message has a copy button that grabs it as Markdown, so if Burnard says something that really lands, save it somewhere safe.
Can I delete my conversations?
Yes, any time. In Chat, hover over a conversation in the sidebar to delete just that one, or use Clear to remove them all. The Account page has the same Clear option. Since conversations never leave your browser, deleting them there is the end of it.

Do I need to create an account?
Sign in with Google—one click, no card. Free accounts get up to 20 messages a week: enough to feel Burnard's style and decide if it's for you. Pro comes with a 7-day free trial and a much roomier allowance for regular conversations. Want a taste without signing in? Try Roast Me under Tools.
What languages does Burnard support?
Whatever language you write in. Burnard answers in the same language you use, so write however feels natural.
